Today in 1990 - The 1990 DCI Finals

Today in 1990, the Cadets of Bergen County won their fifth Drum Corps International World Championship at Rich Stadium in Buffalo, New York.

Here are the results:

  1. Cadets of Bergen County 97.70
  2. Cavaliers 96.90
  3. Star of Indiana 96.50
  4. Blue Devils 95.30
  5. Phantom Regiment 95.30
  6. Santa Clara Vanguard 94.00
  7. Crossmen 89.60
  8. Bluecoats 89.20
  9. Madison Scouts 88.70
  10. Velvet Knights 87.30
  11. Spirit of Atlanta 83.40
  12. Dutch Boy 82.20

Notables

  • The 1982 DCI Class A Champion Dutch Boy made its first appearance in Finals.
  • The Cadets of Bergen County (was the Garfield Cadets and now called The Cadets) completed a nine year streak of placing in the top three.  They would fall to sixth in 1991 and place in the top five every year since.
  • The Spirit of Atlanta made Finals once again after placing 14th in 1989.  It was their last appearance in DCI Finals until 2002.
